Ms. Monique

Originally from Boynton Beach , Florida, Ms. Monique relocated to Atlanta in 2003 after receiving a record deal with the UK based label Serious Records, a subsidiary of Universal Records. In 2004, she met Tony R. Taylor of Soul Entertainment through a mutual friend, and the two developed an instant rapport. The culmination of their collaboration was the 2005 album, "Soul Sessions: Chapter 1" bolstered by the popular single "Mr. Do Right". Ms. It was an auspicious start for the chanteuse who was voted "Best New Artist" in the 2005 Blues Critic Awards. Since then she's only released one other proper album entitled "She Motions" (2012). She dropped a new single, "Work It", in 2021 as well as a duet with Millie Jackson on her signature tune "Mr. Do Right".
